When deciding on Sliding Doors for your home, the decision as to which manufacturer and profile to choose can seem daunting. It is not necessarily better to have a Slim profile, it’s all a matter of personal choice.
Many homeowners prefer a Slim Sliding Door profile, so that you see more glass and less profile when looking through your doors. Comparing Aluminium Sliding Doors
KAT manufactures a Sliding Door with a Slim 35mm interlock, which is available either as an Inline Sliding Door with heights up to 2500mm or a Lift & Slide Door with individual sash widths up to 3294mm, both are fitted with secure multi-point locking and meet PAS24 security.
Alternatively, Twin or Triple Track Sliding Doors with an 87mm interlock are available as Inline Sliding Doors with individual sash widths up to 1500mm or as a Lift & Slide Door with individual sash widths up to 2100mm wide. Both are very secure systems and are easy to slide open.

Another alternative to a Slim interlock is to fit frameless glass-to-glass Sliding Doors such as Svarre. From outside, all you see is a seamless glass finish. Internally however, is a beautiful timber finish which can either be painted to any RAL colour, or simply treated to retain its’ natural grain. Svarre meets PAS 24 security and has been tested to withstand the harshest of Winters in the UK and Ireland.
